As far as I know, all versions of IA require a minimum logon to
the as-signon server.
If you are configured to bypass signon in the IA session, and your IBM i
system is configured to allow it, you can bypass the "green screen" signon.

Do you know if there is a way with IA to only install the green screen
access portions that may bypass the double sign on since the other accesses
are not needed? Based on your write up, I'm thinking the double sign on may
be occurring because the IA installations install more than needed, which
may in turn cause the extra sign on screen.
