The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
This may not qualify as a true web service, but you could build a CGI app to take in a URL and return data formatted as JSON, XML or any format you need and then consume it from the client app.

http://givemesomedata.com?state=ny
Result: XML, JSON, CSV, whatever.
