Hello list,
I'm trying to revive an old 9406-250 system. It had no hard disks, so I
bought a non-ibm (hitachi) ultra320 scsi disk. When I boot V5R3 from a cd
and try to install LIC, the system complains that there is no specific load
source unit (type 6718), which imho was present on the system in the past.
Can LIC be installed on any hard disk or it must be an ibm disk (type
6718) or the original load source disk (which I don't have)? Not sure if
it's an issue, but when I check hardware resources using DST there is
nothing related to the new hard disk, optical and tape devices are visible.
All other menus e.g. work with disk units report that there are no
non-configured disks. Any ideas?
