Holger,
With any company the cost of doing business is part of the prices Agile
charges. That said we also have to conform to "normal and customary" rates
for our services as well. Almost every IBM partner and many of the other
providers like Agile (Agile is not an IBM business partner for a variety of
reasons) provide the staff with equipment and tooling for education and in
house projects. Those are the ones that survive and prosper since the
customer will pay for highly qualified, certified, educated professionals to
do the job for them.
Let us know how your discussions with IBM go.

if you really need to run that stuff on-premise, you should be able to get
the money back from customer projects ;-)
I am in some discussions with IBM tomorrow on developers licensing for
hosting a bunch of non-commercial environments. Let's see what they are
willing to give and what we need to spend on...

My electric bill for the P7, P5, V3700, several tape libraries, HMC,
etc. is about $375/mo. That's without SWMA, hardware maintenance, ect..
