The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Something like Profound UI's tooling seems ideal - no change needed to
the RPG code at all - the Genie app converts on the fly. And the layout
can be modified to a more modern paradigm, including tabs and menus
instead of function keys - like that.
This gives a very rapid change in appearance to a browser base and can
later be tweaked or use the other ways of doing stuff that they have -
and you don't HAVE to be at 6.1 or higher - they've made a facility to
do what is like the Open Access stuff but on older versions.
Others like lookSoftware may have similar capabilities.
No need to make huge investments in learning all the new stuff - it just
works, I'm told!!

I definetly will offer some alternatives based on what I have seen on this
thread. The issue is the programmers there have been there since the 1990's
and by the owners admission do not want to learn anything new. SO looking
at it from that angle. Please note that the industry knowledge they have is
significant, the learning curve to learn a new complex industry is not
trivial.
