First question, how to on VIOS:
-oem_setup_env
-smit
-devices
-disk array
-SAS Disk Array
-Diagnostics and Recovery Options
-Controller Rechargeable Battery Maintenance.
- (if you don't know the rest from there, don't mess with it......)
Second question: P8 don't have replaceable batteries anymore if I remember
the controllers correctly. Yes there is massive Cache on the controller
(that actually has cache, some controllers do not) that run those drives.

Subject: Checking cache battery duration on vios
On non-guested SUSE linux on Power 6 we used these steps to check cache
battery life:
Start a putty session to that machine.
- Run the utility by typing iprconfig
- Select work with disk unit recovery
- Select work with resources containing cache battery packs
- Select the adapter and type 1. Then press enter to display battery
information.
How do I do this on VIOS on Power 8? Or, do even the drives in the CEC not
have cache batteries?
