I have System i Navigator 7.1.

You described the steps exactly and yes it is greyed out.

When I right click on the share and select permissions, it shows *public
having full access (everything is checked except exclude and from autl).

Is it possible something is not running (NetServer or something)? What are
the job names I should look for to be sure they are up?

Just to confirm, you're using the fat client IBM i Access for Windows,
"System i Navigator", right?
You've expanded File Systems, File Shares, highlighted an existing share and
are now trying to make a network drive to it, and the option to Map Network
Drive is all greyed out?
I don't see that. Even if I have a drive already mapped there, shutdown
NetServer, etc.

I can't for the life of me remember this piece of info.

When I am in iSeries Navigator and I right click on a shared drive, the
"map
network drive" is grayed out. What step did I miss?
