I'm hoping to use the SQL Encrypt and Decrypt functions. Would those work
for encrypting and decrypting file data?

You're missing some fundamental information here. Generating the key pair
is the easy part but what are going to do then? What protocol are you going
to use to encrypt the data? Public keys aren't an encryption method.

Hey folks...anyone have a crib sheet for encryption? I have a need to
generate a 2048 bit RSA public/private key pair. I'll send the public key
to a trading partner. They'll encrypt a file and return it to me, where
I'll decrypt it. I'm familiar with public/private keys with SSH type
things, but the IBM documentation about how to generate and use an RSA key
seems a bit tough to dig through. Hoping someone has blazed this trail.
Thanks!
