If you read the SQL Reference, there is a section named "Qualification of unqualified object names". (page 63 of the version 7.1 pdf). You will see that the default schema doe not apply to qualification of all objects. Functions is one of those. For functions, the SQL Path is used. You can set that using the "set path" statement in iSeries Navigator. This can include multiple libraries, just like the library list, It can also specify *LIBL if you want.

I looked at the Schema List and it is correct in that it shows the library list I want to use. But when I run the SELECT * FROM LIBRARY_LIST_INFO, the libraries in those results are different than the Schema List.
I tried looking at the Properties tab, but that is greyed out for me, so I cannot check that.
For now, I will perform my tests on green screen.
