I have a Power 8. It has multiple partitions. Two of VIOS, 1 of AIX and
a few of IBM i. They all get the UPS message alert. VIOS and AIX do it a
little different and they default to 10 minutes and death. Of course, if
your UPS is good for 90+ minutes and you program your IBM i lpars with
plenty to spare only to find out they no longer have ethernet since VIOS
is down that tends to be a significant event. We don't serve disk up by
VIOS or that could have been even more noticeable.
