That's true, they are re-established. For a variety of reasons most of
the folks I know do not add the IBM i box to the Domain, mainly for security
purposes. They will then rebuild the /QNTC links in a start up program.
That cuts the likelihood of the IBM i box becoming a carrier/storage point
for virus malware files in the Window environment. It's also a very good
reason to be careful about what shares are set up in SAMBA/NetServer.

be added under /QNTC during IPL.

You might want to check /QNTC/<ServerName> for the links, I think that's
where they are stored.
If I remember correctly QNTC links do not survive an IPL and need to be
re-established so I would also check the start up program for any processing
there.
