The fact that they closed it does not mean they did it.

As of the latest code for the HMC with latest service packs, still 80
column. Does not matter what emulator you use, it's not going to happen.

5250 emulation is so small a requirement for the HMC given the cloud based
functions etc. they are building in the requirement was most likely dropped
as not important enough. COMMONs coming up, maybe we can get an audience
with the right folks there.

An argument can be made that the console should not need 132 column support
since anything but the most basic operations should be done with a "regular"
session that does have 132 column support. I suspect it's going to be a
long row to hoe......

Subject: HMC 5250 console, 132 column support

Somewhere they must have added 132 column support for the HMC 5250 console
because my COMMON requirement 318 was closed by Carl Novit.
However I can't seem to get 132 columns to work.
I am using IBM i Client Access Solutions 1.1.4 build 5063.
I created an HMC console session. Communications, Configure says 27x132.
Uses this device:
Device description . . . . . . . . : DSP010000
Device class . . . . . . . . . . . : *LCL
Device type . . . . . . . . . . . : 3179
Device model . . . . . . . . . . . : 2

However DSPPFM is still only showing 80 columns.
