Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't putty default to secured? As in SSL?

From a DOS command prompt try
telnet myibmi
see if that works. That doesn't use IBM i Series Access for Windows
licensing and stuff.
If that doesn't work, then try it again with the appropriate option to do
it secured.

This is unsecured:
telnet myibmi 23

I am not sure if simply doing
telnet myibmi 443
will initiate a secure session.


A really simple test. Can you telnet to yourself? From an IBM i session
try
TELNET RMTSYS(youribmi) PORT(23)
