I am doing a concurrent update of Power 8 firmware from FW810.20 (101),
aka 01SV810, to FW810.21 (108).
My Power 8's each have two lpars of VIOS. Two of the three Power 8's have
an lpar of AIX. They all have 4-5 lpars of IBM i.

During the process I get this window which states: "Select I/O LIC to
install updates. Click Advanced to view I/O device details or to change
the selected I/O devices."
I clicked on the Advanced and get this window with columns detailing each
"Device". For example:
cd0 - SATA DVD-RAM Drive RMBO0140512
ent1 - PCIe2 2-Port 10GbE SFP+Copper or 10GbE SR Adapter
ent2 - PCIe2 2-Port 10GbE SFP+Copper or 10GbE SR Adapter
fcs0 - 8 Gigabit PCI Express Dual Port Fibre Channel Adapter
fcs1 - 8 Gigabit PCI Express Dual Port Fibre Channel Adapter
pdisk0 - Savvio 15K.3 146/300GB SAS Disk Drive
pdisk1 - Savvio 15K.3 146/300GB SAS Disk Drive
sissas0 - PCIe3 RAID SAS Adapter Quad-port 6Gb x8 & PCIe3 SAS Tape Adapter
...

Off to the right are columns entitled: Current Level, Available Level,
Effect, Suggested Action.
Effect is always "Take Offline", irregardless of whether or not the
current level matches the available level.
Suggested Actions is either "No action" or "Update", depending on whether
or not the current level matches the Available level.

Judging by that "Take Offline" I am concerned about trying these
concurrently. What say ye?
