SMTP attributes issue (?)

Good morning folks,

Software vendor trainer and we were running a third party query application (NGS) and having it send an email with the results.

The outbound email was successful, meaning it went out to external emails (me@xxxxxxxxx) but when we sent it to an internal email handled by the local Exchange server (me@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) it did not throw an error, but it never arrived for us.

Does this sound familiar to anybody, or something somebody has solved?

SMTP server programs (and clients) are running.

Is this an SMTP attribute issue on our system?

(Not a network guru I).

I did an attempt at research but don't know enough about the specifics of SMTP, and less about IBM i SMTP attribute specifics.
