Here is the command with a 'teeny' bit of help.

chhmcfs –o f {–d x –h y –s z }

x= number of days of old files to keep.
y= number of hours of old files to keep
z= MB of space to free up in each file system.

One of the file systems exceeded it's threshold. Seems to be a log file
system. How does one purge this?

Used a putty client to the HMC.
