Strange Question I know..
I have an EXP25s hanging off the back of a new Power8 on the Internal Disk
Controller. VIOS is on 2 drives ( mirrored ) in the front of the CEC. RAID5
was built using VIOS and I have 3 sets of 8 drives. ( in one vg )
Just to test performance I want to
A. Reduce VIOS to just the 2 drives in the CEC, no other volume groups
B. Leave RAID5 Intact on the EXP24s drives
C. Pull the VIOS drives out of the system
D. Install IBM i on 1 RAID5 set.
If I decide to go back to VIOS,
A. Put the 2 VIOS drives back in the system
B. Recreate my vg with my 3 hdisks
C. Start build my vSCSI drives.
Does this sound doable?
