Back when we were running a mix of SSD/HDD we ran the chgpf to UNIT(*SSD)
on all files in our ERP packages library.

We didn't care about hot/cold data. The man with the checkbook wanted
month end to run faster and he didn't care that Domino beat hell out of
stream files all day long. If he was cutting a check to make month end
run faster then the files used in month end had better, by golly, be on
SSD.
Of course, running CHGPF doesn't move the data right away. Then you have
to run the STRASPBAL with the media preference option to actually move the
data.
And I think that, at one time, running a STRASPBAL *USAGE just might move
your data back off of SSD and put what TRCASPBAL thought was hot on to it.
I believe that this has been resolved.
