what do you think why Tomcat is not implemented using RPG???
Tomcat based Webserver on AS/400 outperformed even IBMs own WebsFear
implementation. To get all benefits of modern hardware, you will need some
language prepared for multi threading and distributed processing.
And again: If you have a RPG batchjob, running more than 30 minutes, I will
rewrite it in java taking only 15 minutes, if your hardware is
unconstrained. If i don't reach the cutoff of 50% you will get it for free,
otherwise, you would have to pay my effort (you will get an estimate
before).
