Ultimately this is a brand new user and cleaning the QTemp might actually be
another straw to grasp.. but I'm willing to try anything to put this to
rest.. but my bet is it's a dead end

Why write code when the os already does it.
No issue for batch jobs.
If your process is interactive, then the item will be there until the
interactive session ends, could cause an issue if the same process is run
twice.
Prefer to use batch, then the interactive qtemp issue is gone.

The methodology where I now work is to do a lot of duplication of workfiles
to QTEMP for easy concurrency of jobs across multiple companies.
I am just curious about people's philosophy of cleaning up after thenmselves
in QTEMP.
Do you delete QTEMP files and any other objects or just let the system do it
when the job ends?
I've always been of the school to cleanup after myself but I'm somewhat
rethinking that now and just letting the OS do its thing.
Thanks.
