That's where I'm leaning. I already do the dlt/test in most cases. It's just the eoj cleanup I'm rethinking. It's just more coding and error checking on stuff you are trashing anyway.

Roger-

In all of my programs which use QTEMP work files, I always do this up front,
before using the work file:

DLTF FILE(QTEMP/WORKFILE)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000)

Then the work file is recreated using whatever method (CPYF, CRTPF,
CRTDUPOBJ. etc...),
and then let the OS do the final cleanup at EOJ.

The methodology where I now work is to do a lot of duplication of workfiles
to QTEMP for easy concurrency of jobs across multiple companies.

I am just curious about people's philosophy of cleaning up after thenmselves
in QTEMP.

Do you delete QTEMP files and any other objects or just let the system do it
when the job ends?

I've always been of the school to cleanup after myself but I'm somewhat
rethinking that now and just letting the OS do its thing.

Thanks.
