My favorite is to stick last nights backup tape and do a restore from that.

-No Locks
-Far less I/O (only the writes not the reads)
-Point in time copy.

But CRTDUPOBJ works as well.

Hello all,

I'm working on a project where I'm going to have to create a copy of all
the physical files in a particular library. I'm wondering what the best
way to do that would be. The CPYF command won't accept *ALL as a parm.
Should I just go with CRTDUPOBJ using *ALL for the files? That will bring
over all the logicals too, correct? I really just need to make sure I have
copies of all the physicals. Any other method I'm not thinking of? As
always all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Bill
