Even if you do not have that system value set IBM is changing several job
descriptions to *PND.
And your PCI compliance officer may be right about logs. But, it may not
be joblogs that need retained. After all, what will tell you more about
access to sensitive data?
A - The joblog from the QINTER subsystem job? I don't mean the interactive
job that the user may have used to update or read the data. I mean the
subsystem job itself.
B - STRJRNPF and retaining your journals for that length of time?
C - CHGOBJAUD OBJ(MYLIB/MYFILE) OBJTYPE(*FILE) OBJAUD(*ALL) and retaining
the journal receivers for QAUDJRN?
D - B & C?

On our system our journal receiver library is by FAR the biggest library
on the system. See the difference between it and our main ERP library?
(from PRTDSKINF)
% of Size in
Library Owner Disk 1000 bytes
#MXJRN MIMIXOWN 19.49 1068342341.6
ERPLXF SSA 5.36 293828059.1

We're quite serious about journal retention. And quick access to such.
And we don't give a tinkers dam about PCI compliance or SOX. We do it
because we want to; not because some jack booted thug is telling us to.
