Releases previous to what? Any release in which IBM still issues PTF
groups is included: 6.1, 7.1, 7.2. So what does it matter?
But, yes, WRKPTFGRP is what I normally use. The OP said he was blocked
from PTF information.
WRKPTFGRP is shipped *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE

works just fine.
