Hi Jeff,
Brad alerted me to this thread last week.
While I'm not on the development team any more, I asked internally about
the use of SMTP.
Apparently Robot Alert has SSL/TLS capability. eSend does not currently.
If you let the support team at HelpSystems know and get this in as a
feature request it sounds like they can possibly re-purpose the SMTP logic
you need.

And the settings are server wide for authentication which
