Why is it that this defective PTF causes our child-server program to
crash-on-takeoff? We aren't actually sending any email at the time the
program launches; so far as I'm aware, we aren't, at program launch
time, even calling the service program that calls the service program
that crashes; I don't think we call that once-removed service program
until and unless a request comes in that requires an email to be sent.
And why on Earth are people still being sent cume "tapes" that include a
known-defective PTF that's already been superseded twice?
