Download went fine.
Extracted IBM_i_Access_Client_Solutions_LCD8_2010_05.zip to my :C drive.
Didn't apply updates as of yet.
Configured a non-SSL connection to R&D LPAR.
The SSL config resulted in an error, will trouble shoot this later.
Verifying connection to central server service.. Failed MSGGEN004 - An unexpected end of the file or stream has been encountered. (SSL peer shut down incorrectly)
Using 5250 Session Manager, configured a new session.
Launched and tested a 5250 session.
Working without issue.
1) I understand that this can be configured several ways.
Has anyone tried the other methods?
Product exists on the local PC, configuration exists on the local PC
Product exists on the network, configuration exists on the local PC
Product exists on the local PC, configuration exists on the network
Product exists on the network, configuration exists on the network
The product and/or the configuration can be on portable media such as a USB drive
2) I'm not clear on where the config(s) (system and session) are stored and how would you create a desktop shortcut for an end user to launch.

When you open up 5770-SS1 you will find it at the bottom of the list.
You have to open up (hide/show) the 5817 i71 B_GOUP1 V07.01.00,ENU,DVD .
Both the Linux and Windows downloads are in there.

Bryan,
I already had all these links.
The issue is when I sign in to ESS site, the below do not appear.
5761-SS1 (feature codes 5817, 5818, 5819) or 5770-SS1 (feature codes 5817, 5818, or 5819

I'm attempting to download the latest version of Client Solutions.
I do see all other products that we are entitled to.
I'm not seeing the any of the ACS feature codes on the ESS site.
5761-SS1 (feature codes 5817, 5818, 5819) or 5770-SS1 (feature codes
5817, 5818, or 5819) Any suggestions.
Thank You
