Yeah the tech Sales cert isn't enough. It is more as you describe, the 
ability to understand what pieces are needed, what features to order, 
what hardware/software is supported. I doubt a sales cert /* only */ guy 
is likely to know where to find a cache battery status or put drives 
into a RAID set or expand a file system.

The TSM cert though, different animal!
