I seem to remember a bunch of hoops around TR3 or 4. Once you were past
that, putting on a new TR wasn't nearly as much of a chore.
I didn't see any mention of these earlier technology refreshes in the
downloaded cover letter for MF99008.
I also didn't see any mention of earlier technology refreshes in the TR7
