One thing I did not suggest this morning was to get a new LIC download and
slip install that first before you install the PTFs. That will smooth
things out somewhat since most of the heavy duty PTFs will be part of the
respin.

I seem to remember a bunch of hoops around TR3 or 4. Once you were past
that, putting on a new TR wasn't nearly as much of a chore.
I didn't see any mention of these earlier technology refreshes in the
downloaded cover letter for MF99008.
I also didn't see any mention of earlier technology refreshes in the TR7
