Thank you; you identified a current weakness in how the iSeries
currently handles these files with a "never-ending" job.
I got a copy of "IFSMON" with the intention of making a more
efficient process.
Changing anything on the "win-tel" server is problematic as it
is a 3rd party system and changes by my company to that server
will run into several issues.

words: first transfer the data and after finishing this start the job to process the transferred data (by rexec for instance). copying the logfile of robocopy after the transfer might be sufficient too, it depends on your schedule.
