So here's a funny one. I just decided to try it on a fully virtual partition. I selected "NO" to distribute O/S on available disk units.

IBM i says: "Distribute OS/400 required when new disk units added."

So not only does it default to yes, it forces it.

Oh and Yes it says "OS/400" :-)
