Note that you can do *BIN or *ALL or *ISO for the third parm but for quite some time only *ALL worked. For the last year or more you can use all three options. Note that the API understands the QIMGCLG and VOLUME_LIST files which frequently exist in the image catalog directory don't count and are automatically bypassed.

This did work and very fast, at first on my 6.1 machine the program was not

in order to use this.

The Fill Image Catalog (QVOIFIMG) API can be used to find multiple files
within an image catalog
directory<http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1011147#>and
add them to the specified image catalog. To use this functionality,
the
following PTFs are required:

o SI39365 (V5R4)
o SI39364 (V6R1)
o SI39362 (V7R1)

Let me try that, thank you Jim.

Call qvoifimg parm('imagecatalogname' '*ALL' 0) (last parm is a zero)

It will empty and reload the image catalog. With 40 entries, about 15
seconds.

Is there a way to create a shortcut on adding these. If I have lets
say
40
.BIN files, could I do it faster in QSH or in writing a program instead
of
typing them all in. I see no option in WRKLNK either that supports it.
