That thread did not give me a comfort level that turning off ipv6 was a
perfectly safe thing to do(and in no position to undertake a large scale
test to prove it's safe)...and that is not the point.
Changing the ipv version doesn't keep a port from being used.
In my case one IBM product chose a port (apparently random) that another
product uses as reserved.
I'm looking for a a table entry to indicate a port is reserved.
Looking a "service tables" in the CFGTCP area, but need to investigate
more

Well, if you're not using IPV6 then turn it off. There was a thread last
week about this.
