This is what I REALLY don't like about the HMC upgrades. The information
seems (to me at least) hard to find and understand or incomplete. Am I the
only one who finds IBM fix central web pages for HMC fixes confusing?
Which fixes do I order and how do I get them installed?
My HMC is currently at a V7R7.5 level with service pack 1 on a 7310 CR4
machine. I am trying to get it to V7R7.7 level with service pack 2 and eFix
MH01355.
I ordered from fix central what I thought I needed, and received 4 DVDs in
the mail.
1) HMC Update DVD - Version 7 Release 7.7.0 SP2 (VOL 1 of 4) PKG ID MH01354
2) HMC Recovery DVD - Version 7 Release 7.7.0 (VOL 2 of 4) PKG ID MH01343
3) HMC Recovery DVD - Version 7 Release 7.7.0 (VOL 3 of 4) PKG ID MH01343
4) HMC Update DVD - iFix for V7 R7.7.0 (VOL 4 of 4) PKGID MH01355
No instructions were included with the shipment .
I found "Installation methods for HMC Version 7 updates and fixes" at:

Following those instructions the installation fails on the first DVD, and
won't even start with the second DVD.

I think the instructions I need are there, but as it is broken, is no help.
Anyone have instructions or a link to instructions for upgrading from V7
R7.5 to V7 R7.7?
