I don't like multi-layered views, personally.
They would seem like a burden on maintenance.
Where you might want to do such a thing, A stored procedure is probably better, in my opinion.

Don't think of it as Query Advisor giving bad advise. Consider that Query Advisor only has a relatively small amount of information to base it on. If it is advising a 10 column index, that should be a red flag to whoever wrote the query that you might be able to improve performance by restructuring the query; perhaps dividing it into multiple queries. Create a View within a View within a View, for example.
