Where are all the other details that are mandatory when performing a
"performance" test?

I'll respond to your questions, and if you were willing to write an even loosely comparable benchmarks under .Net, I think that would add to the discussion. Ultimately, a discussion about application and DBMS architecture would offer the most value.

Number of disk drives?

8 139 GB SAS SFF Drives.

 Speed of disk drives?

15K RPM.

What RAID configuration are the disk drives in?

Raid 5

Is the system running anything else?

Yes, a few hundred active JOBS, however they were mostly idle.

Is only a fraction of the processor allocated to this LPAR?

The LPAR has 2 active cores & 32GB RAM.

Are there other LPARS running on the machine?

No.

How many other interactive users are currently on the system?

Just one. While the benchmark was running I was using the DSPPFM command to view rows being added to the table.

Etc, etc, etc.

Feel free to ask more questions. The DB file was defined by using DDS rather than SQL DDL.
