More likely the voltage regulator on the card. If you dive into the FRU you might find the failing part is really a voltage regulator ( known to be problematic on the MMA, I've seen several fail ) and that's one whale of a lot easier to fix.

And the VPDPART failing item tells you to replace the second processor
board.
So, the system VPD is fine, it's a processor assembly that's bad.
