Re: How can I clear any stored Client Access stored passwords?

Go to Start->IBM Client Access->Client Access Properties. In the dialog that pops up, select the Passwords tab. That will let you change your passwords for all connections. The most current version will show up as IBM i Access for Windows instead of Client Access.

I have a user that apparently must have stored his [now invalid] password at some time in the past. As soon as he launches the 5250 emulator he gets the message this his password is invalid; would he like to provide a new one? (At this point his profile has been hit with two invalid password attempts).

Likewise, when he opens an Excel spreadsheet that makes an ODBC connection he gets the same error. Two more invalid passwords logged against him.

I have deleted the 5250 sessions he had and created a new one, but when he logs on he still gets the same error. So I think the password must be being saved somewhere other than the session itself.

Is the a registry key or somewhere that CA stores the password that I can clear or delete? Or perhaps somewhere else?
