Can you paste the results of DSPFFD against the view? I have some
suspicions but I want to keep them to myself until I see this.

the users who like myself just run the CR are fine once I had changed the
ODBC Admin and check the translate box there for CCSID. Before that it
would display HEX data. Now it is fine.
THe problem is for users who connect via the Business Objects server which
is web based. Even tho we changed the Translate the same check box on the
server, it still gives this message:
"The Viewer cannot process an event. Error in file inventory detail
report.
Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details (Database Vendor Code
:-
551 Error Code CRWEB000000119)
And this only happens to a View created Logical. If its a plain DDS
created
PF or LF you don't have this issue.
