yeah that seems to be the way. 65535 is the value.

I am afraid to make any change like that. I already brought down the system
2x, so I dont' want to 'strike out'. I can't take the chance, I would have
in the past. I understand it's not as bad as I am making it.

the right CCSID's magically just by creating it with DDS versus DDL then
by all means proceed. After you create the table you can populate it from
your view with

insert into mytable (select * from myview)
