RE: View to create a PF?

I think the important thing is to create the PF with the correct CCSID.

I think you should be more concerned with your job CCSID or the syntax
of the command you use to create the PF and not with the difference
between DDS and DDL.

Also, I wonder if you have tried creating another view and attempting to
specify the CCSID for the view ?

Please note CCSID 65535 can be caused by data conditions like: MIXED DATA, GRAPHIC, etc

Maybe start with a very simple view ?

I see so that is not bad, I can just create the PF first. The thing is, can I create the pF with DDS? This seems to be less of a problem for the reporting tool.

I have a Logical view which works fine but I cannot display the data
in the Report tool because its CCSID is HEX. If I could create it to
PF then I could CHGPF on the CCSID (which CHGLF does not have.)
