The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

It's the opposite around here. I had to close my account at the local credit
union after learning that "management" has decided to replace the IBM system
and over a dozen seasoned veterans with an Oracle "solution". All of the
conversion work and Oracle support has been outsourced to you know where.
The development manager doubts that she or any of the others will have much
luck finding other jobs in the area. One guy already quit to take a job in
the oil fields.

iSeries boxes are vanishing like rain drops on a hot skillet.
They are around my area as well, virtually every one of them replaced by
a Power System with IBM i. Occasionally a few move up only to POWER6 as
they find the best way to get bas the V5R4 logjam of nonconvertible
objects. I think however that all of my customers have a plan to move
beyond V5R4.
