Not off topic at all. When seasoned veterans are sent packing by people
working at half rate or less, it is a big issue for IBM i shops.

Paul, that's off topic. Let's keep it with the question.

Just to qualify. The company wants junior people who will work for $20 to
$40 per hour. Do what they are told. And work, work, work.

Funny, my biggest problem is trying to find a job but with a

I am curious what is YOUR view, the view from your seat of the
most
important challenge facing your shop, possibly you personally.
What is
that largest 'going forward' challenge in the next year? 2 Years?
Big
or small but most important, look forward, what IS that light at
the
end
of the tunnel attached to??

Let me ask though, PLEASE:
1) No grousing about the 'imminent takeover of my shop by
windows.'
As my mom would have said: "Quit your bitchin!"
2) No grousing about specific people or attitudes (i.e. 'My
Manager
doesn't like....')

If either of these happen to be the big issue then phrase it
as a
legitimate issue, whining and bitching won't be accepted!!
