To supplement what Rob was saying about RTVDSKINF:
It tends to take a long time to run, so it's probably best to schedule
or submit this for off-hours. At our shop, we have it scheduled for
Sundays.
As for reporting, PRTDSKINF is just sort of a wrapper for the output
file generated by RTVDSKINF, which is QAEZDISK. You can slice and
dice QAEZDISK however you like. Regarding retention: What I do is
save QAEZDISK to a CSV and download the CSV to my PC, where I can keep
historical data without taking up disk space on the i, and also use
PC-based tools to analyze it quicker and easier.
