My company is rolling out Cognos. My boss is no luddite for sure and
likes new stuff. He also realizes that when you get budget approval for
such stuff that you really need to be a cheerleader for such things. So,
when he says the users are really liking what they are getting I tend to
desire a second opinion. More direct from the users. Of course, I'm also
kept offsite away from the users so I don't get there often. Like once or
twice a month.
I do know that the Cognos consultant spent a lot of time here over the
last year or two. They often have meetings in my building because it has
lots of available space and the main building (in the next county) is
packed to the gills.
