I'm no help: can't even find where to type any kind of filter ? (V7R1M0)

I do know what you mean about scroll bar dragging - it is a time waster.

Also would like to know about any benefit from the new web based navigator,
our sys admin is busy loading current ptf's

Subject: iSeries Navigator woes

All,

In iSeries navigator when you open the table listing (files), it seems to only load a partial list.

If I try type "SSA" to bring the list down to the files that begin with SSA it doesn't work.

Instead I have to pull the scroll bar down many times so it keeps inclemently loading more and more objects in the table listing. Only when it is completely loaded can I type "SSA" to bring me to the correct location in the list.

Seems like a design flaw, it doesn't happen in Microsoft SQL Server management studio (you can type in partial names for 10,000's of objects and it will find them without this incremental load insanity).

Is there a setting to fix this problem? Perhaps the new web based navigator product fixes this conundrum among others (like missing SQL intellisense and syntax highlighting)

Matt
