The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

It Depends. :-)
Disclaimer: I have not worked with this... Yet.
This suppport definitely will allow IBM i partitions to happily connect
to the V7000 and V3700 both directly and with NPIV, VIOS not required.
From research so far I don't believe it will do is actually replace
VIOS as a HOST Partition. Nothing I can find so far indicates it will
behave like VIOS and simply pass along disk I/O requests from Client to
SAN. Neither can I find any reference to allowing redundant host
partitions with IBM i as the host. (Outside of Native mirroring at the
Client level which doubles the total disk required.)

Anyone worked with the "new" V3700 fibre attach "native" DASD?
This seems to be an alternative to VIOS.
