I used to love adding the vertical barred "Changes and Addendae" 'patches' to the manuals-- a great way to become aware of the new features of the system. When they started shipping a complete set of new manuals (and binders) with every release, that avenue for knowledge updates went away. ):
The local Boy Scouts council used to get a lot of binders for their training courses!

Remember the pallet of software and manuals that arrived with early
upgrades? It took half a day to unpack everything and replace all the
old manuals with the new ones in the books and on the shelves.
I think my kids got every three ring binder they ever needed in school
from those upgrades!
