Eric,

Your request sounds reasonable. However I've found that depending on
someone maintaining a chart can be tough. And that most recent addition
is always the problem child. And whenever there's turnover the next
person always wants to redo the chart and load it on a different server,
etc. Our BOFH keeps a plethora of spreadsheet tabs of various stuff on
her laptop.
Sure, you can have Ernie the Enforcer bust some kneecaps to discipline
chart maintenance, but if it's less stressful to automate that, why not?
